Automation 3: new features and improvements

As you know, Webmecanik Automation is a marketing automation software based on Mautic’s Open Source framework of which we are the main contributor. 

We were therefore very committed to the development of Mautic 3, then to its adaptation for Webmecanik Automation 3! The new version of the framework will keep the technology at the top, improve performance and guarantee optimal security! It is also a foundation for new, long-awaited features, such as our brand new email editor. You will discover this update in a few days and we are delighted to share with you the improvements and new features! 


Improvements

The improvements were designed to make the use of your favorite marketing automation software easier. This includes both visible and invisible changes. For the visible part of the iceberg, you will notice the addition of the management of dynamic dates (“equal today” for example) in the campaign actions and the possibility to display and hide the columns of your choice on your contact listing page (FAQ article). Automation 3 is also a prerequisite to launch your new email editor.


Management of the sales representative assigned to the contact

Let’s move on to this version new features. You could already manually assign your contacts to “owners”. From now on you will be able to distribute them automatically with the help of filters! For example, it is now possible to distribute your leads by department to your different sales representatives around the world! (FAQ article) I explain everything in detail here


Forms

The most important new features are here! Forms are essential in a marketing automation strategy. You will now have the possibility to block the recording of the value of a form field on the contact data if a value already exists; this can be useful if you want to record the first source of acquisition of a lead, for example.  We have also integrated a redesign of the progressive profiling (FAQ article). The goal is to display new fields to learn more about your contacts who are not at their first form on your website! Finally, conditional forms are now also available! All these features will allow you to get more data from your leads without having forms that are too long or not very engaging!
