Marketing Automation hosted in Switzerland

Security is one of the most important things for software users and application owners. Data protection has become even more important since the implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) on 25 May 2018. This regulation requires companies to put in place the necessary technical and organizational measures to ensure a significant level of security for data, as stated in Article 32: “Security of processing data”. Moreover, even if Switzerland is not a member of the European Union, there are impacts for Swiss companies, including those that do not necessarily have a branch or subsidiary in the EU.

You must not only protect your data, but also your customers’ data (such as their email addresses, phone numbers, etc.). In addition, data protection laws as well as the quality of hosting vary from one country to another. Some states are not considered trustworthy for hosting web applications because of their “anti-privacy” laws, for example.
Luckily, at Webmecanik, we offer our users the option to host their data in Switzerland, the guarantee of high-quality and highly secure hosting.

Indeed, data protection has long been embedded in the Swiss mindset. Data hosted on Swiss territory is also protected by theOrdinance to the Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP), which gives judges discretion to restrict access to data without having to demonstrate a crime. In addition, values such as neutrality and independence are two key points for choosing where to host your data. Finally, and this is not the least important, Swiss data centers are known for the quality of their recent infrastructure and for being excellently maintained.

Webmecanik places a great deal of importance on this, which is why we were pioneers in bringing our marketing automation software into compliance. Webmecanik Automation provides you with all the features you need to comply with the GDPR requirements (data anonymization, the right to be forgotten, etc.). By choosing Webmecanik, you ensure that you are selecting a software publisher that complies with all these requirements, enabling you to be compliant—or become compliant—yourself.
