A Web Summit in the age of AI
From November 13 to 16, Lisbon became the epicenter of the tech and web world with Web Summit 2023, attracting more than 70,000 participants from 153 countries. This summit featured an eclectic mix of speakers, ranging from Jimmy Wales, founder of Wikipedia, to Kuo Zhang, president of Alibaba.com. The world’s biggest technology companies gathered there to discuss the advances and challenges of the web industry.
Artificial intelligence (AI) was at the heart of every topic, with discussions on how it is transforming creativity, performance, and business processes. The various speakers explored the many aspects of AI, such as GenAI, the impact of AI on growth, and the importance of automation for businesses.
Web Summit 2023 highlighted global reflection on the impacts of artificial intelligence on our societies and future professions. This event once again proved that technological innovation continues to redefine the limits of what is possible, while inviting deep reflection on its impact and regulation.

Webmecanik exhibiting for the second consecutive year
Webmecanik, for the second consecutive year, exhibited among the French companies gathered at the French Tech pavilion. Stéphane Vojetta, deputy for the fifth constituency of French citizens abroad, visited the delegation at the initiative of Business France, providing an opportunity to discuss France’s role in the web and new technologies sector.
