| Python: language of the year 2010 |
We have been using Plone for our projects for 5 years now. Each time Plone is objectively compared with its main competitors (Joomla, Drupal and WordPress), it comes out on top in the key areas of security and user ergonomics.
Plone is, however, often cited as a system for which it is difficult to find expertise, due to the use of the Python language instead of the trendy web language (PHP).
The situation could well change if we are to believe publisher TIOBE, which named Python the language of the year 2010. There are undoubtedly several explanations for Python’s comeback:
- It is a true object-oriented language
- It is fairly simple and natural to learn
- It is used by Google
