On behalf of the Webmecanik team, I am proud to welcome 32 new customers for the first half of 2019—Divalto and Dimo Software in IT, Skiply in the world of connected devices, Fransat in the media sector, and a few nonprofit organizations. Our revenue is growing by 22% with stable headcount. This allows us to support our development without needing to raise outside funds.
Our fast international growth calls for new talent
Our international activities now exceed 20% of our business, compared with 15% in 2018. We are pleased to welcome our first Israeli company, named Danon Culinary Institute, confirming the rapid adoption of Webmecanik as an alternative to expensive, proprietary marketing automation solutions such as Adobe Marketo, Oracle Eloqua, Salesforce Pardot, or Hubspot.
This requires new talent. Carol Correia joins us from Brazil and joins Webmecanik to help its European and international partners grow their sales in marketing automation. Under her leadership, the Webmecanik website has been translated into Portuguese in addition to English, French, German, and Italian. Florent Petitjean has joined us to ensure leadership and development of the support team. And Johan Buchert leaves the support team to lead marketing, in order to share best practices and provide value-added tools to our customers and partners—improving their return on investment through automated campaigns.
The acquisition of Mautic by Acquia is a great opportunity
It has now been two months since Acquia, the American leader in open source software, announced its acquisition of Mautic. Webmecanik is the world’s second-largest contributor to the Mautic code.
Since DB Hurley—the founder of Mautic—is now the Technical Director of the Acquia Marketing Cloud business unit, Webmecanik is convinced that Acquia’s experience with Drupal is a fantastic opportunity for the community. We look forward to sharing Acquia’s next announcement regarding governance and community goals. More to come soon.
