Mautic community at the center of Webmecanik work

When David Hurley first develop Mautic in 2015, he wanted to create a community that gives every people the power to understand, manage, and grow their business or organization. This belief is central to Webmecanik since we decided to help companies implement marketing campaigns that are really useful for their development.

We decided in 2015 to participate in the development of the open-source solution Mautic - we are now the second largest contributor in the world - and we believe that open-source is the best way to evangelize good marketing automation practices. The 350 companies that use our services have made this choice for short-term reasons such as a ROI four times greater than proprietary solutions, the ease of having the qualified resource anywhere in the world at an affordable price without going through the private publisher, and finally for the DNA of an open-source solution, ie the opening of the code making it easy to adapt the solution to its needs and its IT environment.

But there are also longer-term reasons even more important if you think that you make a structuring choice for your business. Having an open roadmap allows you to make priority choices for you who may not yet be the majority. For example, Mautic was available in the first year in 22 languages, something that a brand new proprietary publisher could never have done. Then you are certain that all the bricks remain open-source - like Symfony and PHP - guarantee of independence and durability. Finally compatibility with software solutions that you have not yet chosen in your organization is more easily ensured. A guarantee for the future!

Of course there may be very factual reasons not to choose an open-source marketing automation solution. You can be blocked by your CRM or ERP editor that requires you to stay with home products, the API does not open to external solutions, or working much worse. You can also have reasons for your organization's internal policy and managing your personal risk by choosing a brand known as the most popular. In this case Hubspot or Adobe Marketo is a must. Also for reasons of support 24/7 or amounts of guarantees in case of dispute, only multi-billionaires will reassure both your IT service and your legal service.
