On behalf of the Webmecanik team, I am proud to welcome 32 new customers on the first half of 2019, including renowned names such as Divalto and Dimo Software in the IT, Skiply in the IoT, Fransat in the media industry, MG in accountant market and few not-for-profit organizations. We continued to increase our profitability with a 22% year-to-year turnover increase and a stable workforce. This allows us to support our development without needing external fundraising. 

Fast growing international operations requires new talents

We had even more growth at the international, that now exceeds 20% of our business (15% in 2018). We are pleased to onboard our first Israelian company named Danon Culinary Institute which confirms the fast adoption of Webmecanik as an alternative to expensive and closed marketing automation solutions such as Adobe Marketo, Oracle Eloqua, Salesforce Pardot, or Hubspot. 

That requires new talents. Carol Correia has joined Webmecanik from Brazil to help our partners in Europe and worldwide to develop their marketing automation projects. Under her leadership the Webmecanik website has been translated into Portuguese in addition to English, French, German and Italian. Florent Petitjean joined us to ensure the leadership and development of the Support team. And Johan Buchert moves from the Support team to lead the Product Marketing, sharing the best practices and offer added-value tools to help our clients and partners to improve their ROI with their automated campaigns. 

“Mautic acquisition by Acquia is a tremendous opportunity for the community”

It’s been now two months that the US leading open source software company Acquia (owner of Drupal) announced the acquisition of Mautic. Webmecanik stays the second main contributor in the world to the Mautic code. 

As DB Hurley - the founder of Mautic - is now the CTO of Acquia Marketing Cloud business unit, we strongly believe at Webmecanik that it is a fantastic opportunity for the community to take advantage of Acquia's experience with Drupal. We look forward to sharing Acquia upcoming announcement regarding the community governance and objectives.
